But just 10 minutes north, at Desert Ridge, the days are slightly cooler, the soil stonier, and the resulting fruit more structured with earthy, leafy, and herbal characteristics. The two distinct site differences are reconciled in this rich blend.
Perfumed florals and tobacco leaves on the nose follow through to the palate. The dark fruits, cassis and medium tannins make this a nice food wine.
